KANSAS CITY – Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s board of trustees has named Bill Bowyer, senior pastor, Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church, Wake Forest, N.C., as chairman of a seven-member search committee for the next president of the school. Kevin Shrum, pastor, Inglewood Baptist Church, Nashville, Tenn., has also been elected chairman of the trustees and will serve on the search committee. Acting interim President Robin Hadaway, associate professor of missions, was also appointed interim until a president to succeed Phil Roberts can be found. The trustees also appointed Shrum and Hadaway to deliver the Midwestern report at the Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting in New Orleans in June.
