WHEATON -Churches in southwest Missouri are banding together to host the free Big God ACROSS the Ozarks festival Sept. 7-11 at Gizmo’s Event Center here. The festival, which starts at 7 p.m. every night, features evangelist William Blackburn and recording artists Dean, Gayna and Geoffery Forrest. Gospel singing begins at 6 p.m. There is a kids’ rally Sept. 10 at 9 a.m.
This is the third year for the ACROSS Festival, which drew 7,000+ people last year.
Organizers ask that you bring a lawn chair and that food concessions will be available. The festival will go on rain or shine.
“It sparked a revival all across the area and there have been so many decisions since then,” said Mark Hall, pastor of First Baptist, Wheaton told The Pathway of last year’s event. “I’ve had the privilege of baptizing 12 since then that told me they prayed to receive Christ at Big God. People were surprised seeing churches working together for a common cause.”
