Stunning pro-life billboard captures St. Louis’ attention

May 3, 2011 By The Pathway

ST. LOUIS – Missouri Right To Life and thatsabortion.com are sponsoring an attention-grabbing billboard located on Cass Avenue just one block east of Jefferson Avenue in St. Louis.

Its purpose is to draw attention to the high number of African-American children being aborted. More than 37 percent of Missouri abortions are performed on African-Americans who comprise just 12 percent of the state’s population. The Center for Disease Control says more than 14.5 million African-American children have been aborted since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.

More African-American babies have been killed by abortion during the past 38 years than the total number of African-American deaths from all other causes, according to Missouri Right to Life. Abortions in the black community have also contributed to a 2 percent decline in the African-American population between 2000 to 2009, U.S. Census Bureau statistics show.
