MBC Board honors HLG, Ziehmer

January 8, 2011 By The Pathway

JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) Executive Board commended one of its Gospel partners with a resolution recently that celebrated that partner’s cooperative spirit and collaborative heart.

The spirit of the resolution is that Hannibal-LaGrange University is to be praised for the manner in which it went about its name change from Hannibal-LaGrange College, with its representatives being Christ-like, loyal, godly, and gracious during this year’s annual meeting of the MBC.

Board members also expressed gratitude for the godly example the Hannibal school has given for other denominational institutions to follow. It therefore follows that board members will support and pray for the administration, staff, faculty and students of the university.

Another Executive Board resolution was passed in honor of the faithful service of Andree Ziehmer, executive assistant to the editor of The Pathway who died Nov. 19 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Ziehmer was an “Alpha & Omega” type of Christian in that she actively and zealously served countless people as a Christian wife, mother, grandmother, ministry assistant, administrator, prayer partner, and church organist.
