JEFFERSON CITY—The concept of www.123vote.com is simple in that one person can influence two friends and generate three votes on Nov. 2, which is a national election.
It is a video-driven, new media-savvy strategy that is targeting church attenders who are not registered to vote. More than 40 percent of Americans fit into this category. The premise being applied here is that when millions of church-goers are registered by the Oct. 4 deadline, America will change for the better. But what is the agenda of www.123vote.com?
It is tied to another website, www.unitedinpurpose.org, which is an online, non-partisan community of like-minded Americans who are concerned about the United States and its future. The community seeks to advocate the traditional values and principles of government as defined by the Founding Fathers.
United in Purpose stands for liberty, justice, individual rights, and principled governance. Its groups and members advocate for positive outcomes in public policy within the confines of the Founding Fathers’ original intent for the governance of America. Advocating through rage, violence or civil disobedience is not permitted.
The www.123vote.com video is being billed as “a powerful reminder that voting is fundamental to freedom.” There are also sample text messages and tweets to use with suggested wording, as well as a suggestion for computer users to post the video on their Facebook pages.
Registering online is said to take less than three minutes.
