HLG named to America’s best Christian colleges

Hannibal – Hannibal-LaGrange College (HLG) was named one of America’s Best Christian Colleges for the sixth consecutive year by the Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc. HLG is one of only seven higher education institutions in Missouri named as one of America’s Best Christian Colleges. More than 1,400 colleges and universities nationwide were analyzed in consideration for this honor.

HLG was named one of America’s Best Christian College on the basis of documented environment of Christian influence, grade point average of incoming freshmen as well as the ACT/SAT scores of incoming freshmen. This is the sixth consecutive year that Hannibal-LaGrange College has received this honor and scored well above the national average.

Woodrow W. Burt, HLG president, was happy to hear about the inclusion of Hannibal-LaGrange in the 12th annual report of the national college survey. “We are extremely pleased to have been selected as one of ‘America’s Best Christian Colleges’ for the sixth consecutive year,” said Burt. “It is truly an honor to have received this recognition from Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc.”

Kansas City’s Northland Church reproduces disciples through church planting

Richard Nations

Matt Marrs says he would rather be a pastor of a smaller church that has planted 20 churches than to be pastor of a church with 2,000 members. Northland Church, where Marrs serves, has sent out 10 church plants and church planters in the past two decades.
