Center to do Walk for Oct. 20 fundraiser

FARMINGTON—Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center is holding its “Walk for Life” fundraiser Oct. 20 here with a goal to top the $20,000 raised in 2006.

Last year’s event included more than 30 churches. Liaisons in churches are needed now, according to Mike Ward, one of the center’s fundraising coordinators, so that the 2007 Walk can grow to include 50 or more churches. Congregations in Washington, Iron and Ste. Genevieve counties are invited to participate with those from St. Francois and Madison counties, Ward said.

It’s a social construct. It’s a cult belief.”
