Bethany Baptist honors Celebrate Recovery

CAPE GIRARDEAU – Dec. 2 Bethany Baptist Church held its first Celebrate Recovery celebration recognizing eight men and women that have completed their 12-Step Program.

This 12-step program is a faith-based program, going to the Word of God for each step. John Eaton, leader of the Celebrate Recovery program, led the ceremony and commented that Celebrate Recovery is dependent upon Jesus Christ and His grace, as individuals are helped to overcome each hurt, habit, or hang-up.

Each of the eight individuals testified to the fact Jesus has moved them from condemnation to salvation, from self reliance to depending on His grace.

Pastor Shawn Wasson shared that Bethany Baptist is proud to be able to host Celebrate Recovery, and reminded all that we are commanded by Christ to “make disciples.”
