28 with Missouri ties graduate from MBTS

KANSAS CITY – Twenty-eight students with ties to Missouri graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS) in Kansas City May 20. Graduates included.

• Phill Gene Hall received a doctor of ministry degree. Hall serves as the Church Planter Strategist for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, in Little Rock, Ark. Hall was awarded the Doctoral Studies Award which recognizes a graduate who has demonstrated excellence in seminar studies and the design and implementation of a ministry project. He and his wife, Charlotte, reside in North Little Rock, Ark.

• Kevin D. Chenoweth received a doctor of educational ministry degree. Chenoweth serves as pastor of adult ministries, First Baptist Church, Dexter. He and his wife, Kendis, reside in Dexter.

• Chad Daniel Bennett received a doctor of educational ministry degree. Bennett is pastor, Monett Community Church, Monett. He and his wife, Darla, reside in Monett.

• David Noble received a doctor of ministry degree. Noble is pastor, First Baptist Church, Harrisonville, and serves as the chaplain for the Harrisonville Police Department. He and his wife, Diane, reside in Harrisonville.

• Leland A. Holland received a doctor of ministry degree. Holland serves as pastor, Barrington Ridge Baptist Church, Hobart, Ind. He and his wife, Deborah, reside in Merrillville, Ind.

• Perry V. Wolfe received a doctor of ministry degree. Wolfe is director of missions for Laclede Baptist Association, Lebanon. He and his wife, Mary, reside in Lebanon.

• Martin Winslow received a master’s of arts degree in Biblical Languages. He currently serves as associate pastor, First Baptist Church, Lexington. He and his wife, Amy, a former resident of Bonne Terre, currently reside in Lexington.

• John Martin received a master’s of divinity degree. Martin serves as the pastor of Heritage Baptist Church, Columbia. He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Columbia.

• James J. Thomas received a master’s of divinity degree. He currently serves as pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, Salem. He and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Salem.

• Keith P. Moran received a master’s of divinity degree. He is actively involved with the church planting effort of the North Point Fellowship in Kansas City. He and his wife, Melissa, reside in Kansas City.

• Rickey D. Rambo received a master’s of arts degree in Christian education. Rambo is associate minister, Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, Kansas City. He and his wife, Keshawn, reside in Kansas City.

• Jason Schoff received a master’s of divinity degree with an emphasis in international church planting. He serves as the director of English outreach for Mission Adelante!, Kansas City, Kan. He and his wife, Megan, a former resident of Quinter, Kan., reside in Kansas City.

• Sara McNeely received a master’s of arts degree in counseling. She currently resides in Eugene.

• Ryan Van Arkel received a master’s of divinity degree with an emphasis in Christian Education. He and his wife, Rebecca, reside in St. Joseph.

• Philip Redmond received a master’s of divinity degree. He serves as the recruiting coordinator for MBTS. Redmond was awarded the Wornall Road Baptist Church Award in Theological Field Education which is given to a graduate who has excelled in the performance of ministry under supervision. He and his wife Tabitha, a former resident of Ironton, reside in Kansas City.

• Rye Taylor received a master’s of divinity degree. He serves as senior pastor, Lakeside Church, McMurray, Pa. He and his wife, Mandy, a former resident of Jefferson City, reside in Hendersonville, Pa.

• H. Jensen Petersen received a master’s of divinity degree. He serves as pastor for Forest Grove Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Holden.

• Chris Shannon received an associate of divinity degree. He and his wife, Loris, a former resident of Greenfield, Ill., reside in Gladstone.

• Kristi L. VanDyke received a master’s of divinity degree with an emphasis in Christian education. VanDyke is an assistant to the pastor at the Iglesia Cristiana “Palabra Viva” Church in North Kansas City. VanDyke was awarded the The North American Professors of Christian Education award. It is presented to a graduate who has demonstrated excellence in religious education studies. She was also awarded the G. Hugh Wamble Award in Church History which commemorates the 31 years of dedicated service given by G. Hugh Wamble as professor of Church History at MBTS and his contributions to religious liberty and the separation of church and state. This award is given to a graduate demonstrating outstanding interest and achievement in the field of church history, focusing on the issues related to religious liberty. VanDyke resides in Kansas City.

• Dorothy A. Roper received a master’s of arts degree in counseling. Roper serves as a counselor for Abundant Life Biblical Counseling and Training, Inc., Grandview.

• George J. Lakatos received a master’s of divinity degree. He is senior pastor, Grace Community Church, Smithville. He and his wife, Jana, former residents of St. Joseph, reside in Smithville.

• Alan D. King received an associate of divinity degree. His wife, Robin, received a diploma for the ministering wife. The Kings reside in Kansas City.

• Jeff Hume received a master’s of divinity degree with an emphasis in Christian education. He serves as associate pastor, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton. He and his wife, Michelle, reside in Edgerton.

• Gary T. O’Flannagan received a master’s of divinity degree. He serves as interim pastor for Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Chillicothe. He and his wife, Anna, both former residents of Salina, Kan. reside in Kansas City.

• Claud Kenyon Jobe, Sr., received a bachelor’s of arts degree in biblical studies. Jobe serves as a ministry team leader at the Lexington Care Center in Lexington. He and his wife, Linda, reside in Higginsville.

• Richard J. Reiser received an associate of divinity degree and a bachelor’s of arts degree in biblical studies. His wife, Rebecca, received a diploma for the ministering wife. The Reisers reside in Kansas City.
