Campers On Mission enjoy busy time of service
MT. VERNON – The spring meeting of the Missouri Campers on Mission, with the theme of “Perfect Trust,” was at Baptist Hill Camp here. Darrel and Donna Crawford are co-presidents.
Roger Jeffries had the work projects outlined as 165 people and 7 visitors were in attendance. There were 67 rigs, or trailers.
The Laclede County Camp invited the Campers on Mission to come there for the fall meeting Sept. 18-22 and the plans are to go there.
The nominating committee gave a report and the following were elected: Darrel and Donna Crawford, co-presidents; Roger and Nellie Jeffries, co-vice presidents; Gary and Marilyn Morrow, co-secretary-treasurer.
The services each evening were in the temple. Tuesday evening was a talent program. The Burbridge family presented a musical program Wednesday. The business session was Thursday evening. A carry-in dinner was enjoyed Friday evening. A camp project report was given after the dinner.
After each morning devotion, there was a prayer and the group left for work singing “I’ll Be Somewhere Working.”
