Resolutions for MBC needed by Oct. 1
JEFFERSON CITY – Messengers to the Missouri Baptist Convention’s annual meeting who want to submit proposed resolutions for consideration are encouraged to send their proposals by Oct. 1 to the Resolutions Committee, Missouri Baptist Convention, 400 E. High St., Jefferson City, MO 65101-3253. They may also be sent by Fax at 573-635-5869; or by e-mail: pjeffries@mobaptist.org.
Sending resolutions in advance of the annual meeting of the convention makes possible a more thorough consideration of the resolution and expedites the committee’s work, officials said. This year’s annual meeting will be held Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 at the Show Me Center on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Proposed resolutions should be typed, if practical, and should contain the name and address of the messenger submitting each proposal; name of the church that the messenger is from; and the title of the resolution. All resolutions must also be submitted to the convention recording secretary by the end of the evening session on Oct. 30.
Serving on the 2006 MBC resolutions committee are Charles Wolfe (chairman), Concord Baptist Church, Jefferson City; Cliff Day, pastor, First Baptist Church, Chaffee; Darren Patrick, pastor, The Journey, St. Louis; Doug Richey, pastor, Pisgah Baptist Church, Excelsior Springs; and Jeanne Todd, Immanuel Baptist Church, Hannibal.
