HLG holds annual prayer walk

Hannibal – Hannibal-LaGrange College (HLG) faculty, staff, administrators, and student leaders recently held a prayer walk on the HLG campus for the second year. Participants spent part of the afternoon praying for the upcoming school year.

Jo Ann Raney, director of alumni services at HLG, organized the walk this year. “What a blessing it is to pray for one another, and then to see how God answers!” said Raney. Faculty, staff, and student dorm assistants divided into several groups and walked the campus grounds of Hannibal-LaGrange College. Groups passed through facilities, classrooms, and dormitories, stopping to pray for the people that would occupy each room.

Julie Albee, associate professor of education at HLG, was one of this year’s group leaders. “It encouraged my heart to pray with colleagues, staff, and students for God to guide and bless each person in the buildings our group was assigned. I was most encouraged to hear the RAs [student Residential Assistants] who were in our group pray for the students. Their spiritual depth was amazing and their hearts for the Lord came through clearly in their prayers,” said Albee.

Over 50 faculty and staff participated in the second annual prayer walk.
