Plan a tour at Old Bethel

JACKSON – A monument to 200 years of Baptist life in Missourishould be on the schedule for messengers to the 2006 annual meeting of the Missouri Baptist Convention.The Missouri Baptist Historical Commission will host tours of Old Bethel, the oldest permanent non-Catholic church west of the Mississippi River during the meeting in nearby Cape Girardeau Oct. 30, 31and Nov. 1. The Commission is currently in the middle of a fundraising effort to complete the reconstruction of the 200-year-old building.
