Ministers and lay people have been appointed to serve on the 2005 Missouri Baptist Convention Committee on Convention Committees by MBC president Mitchell Jackson. One member is from each of Missouri’s eight regions.

Rodney Davis, pastor of Morely Baptist Church (Southeast Region) was named chairman of the committee. Other ministers serving on the committee are:  Kenny Qualls, First Baptist Church, Arnold (East Central Region); Kevin Smith, Springhill Baptist Church, Springfield (Southwest Region); Mike Bronson, Concord Baptist Church, Jefferson City (Central Region); and Bob Wood, director of missions, Howell Baptist Association, West Plains (South Central Region).

Lay people serving on the committee are Rick Turner, Bethany (Northwest Region); Don Colborn, Hannibal (Northeast Region); and Bill Crowley, Excelsior Springs (West Central Region).

The Committee on Convention Committees is responsible for nominating members to the following MBC standing committees: Committee on Convention Preacher – to serve and report in 2005; two members each for the Committee on Order of Business and the Committee on Continuing Review, terms expiring 2008 – to begin serving following the 2005 convention; Committee on Resolutions and Committee on Enrollment – to serve in 2006; and Committee on Local Arrangements – to serve in 2007 in Osage Beach.
