MBC joins hands to sponsor children’s leadership confab

JEFFERSON CITY – “Heart of the Child" will be the theme of the Preschool and Children’s Leadership Convention April 2-3 at First Southern Baptist Church, Del City, Okla.

The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) is sponsoring the event along with state conventions from Oklahoma , Arkansas and Texas . LifeWay Christian Resources of Nashville, Tenn., is also sponsoring the national-level conference.

Keynote speakers include authors Tommy Sanders, Cos Davis and Jerry Aldridge as well as humorist Will Ruth Garlow. More than 35 conference leaders from all over the Southern Baptist Convention will lead some 85 different conferences for preschool and children’s leaders.

“Whether you teach Sunday School, discipleship, missions, extended teaching care, special needs or you are a pastor, minister of preschool and children or weekday director, this conference is for you," said Sondi Scroggins, MBC preschool and children’s ministries specialist.

Cost for each participant is $69 each. For 6-10 people, cost is $65. Discounts are also given for 11-15 people ($60) and 16 people ($55). The fee includes conference materials, two lunches, one breakfast and a banquet.
