TIPTON – About 106 missionaries, including students and adult volunteers, took part in the painting and cleanup of 20 home or church sites this summer through a Lifechangers mission program that included Missouri Baptist churches from Tipton, Fortuna and High Point.
Participants came from as far away as Tennessee and Oklahoma as well as Rockford, Ill., and St. Louis. The missionaries conducted two backyard Bible clubs in Tipton and were housed at First Baptist Church, Tipton, where worship services were held every night of the week from July 18-25. Seven people were saved and one surrendered to the Gospel ministry.
More than 20 local churches combined in the Concord Baptist Association and Lamine Baptist Association helped feed the missionaries.
Kevin Kohler, pastor, Fortuna Baptist Church, served as a key organizer. He was assisted by a team from area churches.
Paul Posey was the host pastor throughout the mission emphasis.
