Cooperative Program giving headed up

November 14, 2005 By The Pathway

Mary 6, 2003

JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Baptists appear once again to be supporting the Cooperative Program (CP) in a big way.

With April receipts tabulated, Missouri Baptist Convention financial records show that $1,657,773 was given to the CP in April, increasing the 2003 CP total to $5,306,015. The CP offering in April, 2002 was $1,577,684.

April marked the third consecutive month that CP giving has shown an increase over the corresponding month in 2002.

The $5.3 million given during the first four months of 2003 is approaching the four-month budget goal of $5,753,424.

In another area of giving, Annie Armstrong missions receipts continue to lag behind established goals. MBC churches through the first quarter (March 31) had submitted $124,082 for the 203 Annie Armstrong account.

The first quarter Annie Armstrong goal was $207,235. First quarter giving represented an $83,153 decline from 2002 offerings.

The revised 2003 Annie Armstrong goal for Missouri is $1,805,825.
