Right to Life rally Sept. 10 at State Capitol

November 14, 2005 By The Pathway

July 29, 2003

JEFFERSON CITY – In an attempt to save what they believe could amount to 3,000 to 4,000 lives, Missouri Right to Life is organizing a "Rally for Life" at noon, Sept. 10, on the State Capitol lawn.

Gov. Bob Holden has vetoed House Bill 156, the Woman’s Right to Know Act. It would require a woman to sit down with a physician to learn about the medical risks involved with abortion. A 24-hour reflection time would follow the evaluation.

Education materials, links and action steps relevant to overriding the governor’s veto can be found on the Missouri Right to Life Web site, www.missourilife.org. For more information, call the Missouri Right to Life state office at (573) 635-5110.
