Noon – Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Alumni of Missouri Luncheon; Golden Corral, 2020 E. Primrose Place (Lifeway Shopping Center).  $8.00 per person, tickets required.  Shuttle service provided.

Noon – New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Alumni Luncheon; Second Baptist Church, Room 218, 3111 E. Battlefield Rd., Springfield.  $7 at the door, no ticket required.

12:15 p.m. – Church Planting Luncheon; John Q. Hammons Hotel, Kansas & Oklahoma Room. By invitation, tickets required, no shuttle.

12:30 p.m. – Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Alumni Luncheon; Glendale Baptist Church, 2236 S. Ingram Mill Rd.  Tickets required, $12 per person, $15 at the door.  Contact Randy Miller or stop by the SWBTS booth for tickets.

5:30 p.m. – Director of Missions Fellowship Dinner; South Haven Baptist Church, 2353 S. Campbell, Springfield.  Shuttle service provided.

9:00 p.m. – Southwest Baptist University and Friends Reception, John Q. Hammons Hotel, Illinois Room.  No tickets required.

9:00 p.m. – Hannibal-LaGrange College Alumni and Friends Reception, John Q. Hammons Hotel, John Q Room. 

9:00 p.m. – Missouri Baptist Children’s Home Reception, John Q. Hammons Hotel, Atrium.  Everyone invited.

Protesting: How should churches respond?

The Evangelical world was shocked on Jan. 18, 2026, when a group of roughly 30 protestors invaded Cities Church in St. Paul, Minn., during a worship service. While Christians aren’t surprised when unbelievers sin, we were shocked to see the sacred space of religious worship attacked so blatantly. This remarkable action should lead Christians and churches to think clearly about what the Bible says regarding protesting and how churches should biblically respond.
