According to the February 2001 edition of Connect, the newsletter of the Missouri CBF, there are 38 churches that have the CBF in their budgets or allow members to give to the CBF through the church. Of those 38, 24 have members appearing on Bart Tichenor’s amicus brief.
They include: First Baptist, Columbia; First Baptist, Independence; Calvary Baptist Church, Bourbon; First Baptist, Lee’s Summit; First Baptist, Montgomery City; First Baptist, Rolla; First Baptist, Windsor; Holmeswood Baptist Church, Kansas City; Kirkwood Baptist Church, St. Louis; Memorial Baptist Church, Columbia; Northgate Baptist Church, Kansas City; Overland Baptist Church, Overland; Parkade Baptist Church, Columbia; Second Baptist, Liberty; South County Baptist Church, St. Louis; Southwest Baptist Church, St. Louis; Susquehanna Baptist Church, Independence; Swope Park Baptist Church, Kansas City; Third Baptist, St. Louis; University Heights Baptist, Springfield; Webster Groves Baptist Church, Webster Groves; Winnwood Baptist Church, Kansas City; Wornall Road Baptist Church, Kansas City.
According to the July 2001 edition of Connect, the following eight churches—all among the 35 supporting Tichenor’s brief—have pulled out of the SBC: First Baptist, Columbia; Holmeswood Baptist, Kansas City; Kirkwood Baptist, St. Louis; Second Baptist, Liberty; University Heights, Springfield; Winnwood Baptist, Kansas City; Tryst Falls Baptist, Kearney, and Wornall Road, Kansas City.
