Church’s love for special needs baby leads to 50 salvations
CENTERTOWN – The love of New Hope Baptist Church members here for one of its families resulted, Aug. 17, in an evangelistic revival meeting in Jefferson City, featuring the well-known Christian band, Newsboys. CENTERTOWN – The members of New Hope Baptist Church here helped to organize a back-to-school supply giveaway for their community, Aug. 3. The church has participated in this outreach event since 2005, working in partnership with a local ministerial alliance. First Baptist El Dorado hosts back-to-school fair
EL DORADO – The First Baptist Church here sponsored a back-to-school fair, Aug. 12, to support families in the community.During the fair, there was vision and hearing tests for children, as well as a free backpack give-away; the backpacks were full of school supplies. MBC summer missionaries report 800-plus salvations

Forty people saved at the Missouri state fair
SEDALIA – Forty individuals prayed to receive Christ at the Baptist tent at the Missouri state fair. The invitation to step inside the colorful tent on Main Street at the fairgrounds, was followed by a promise, “This will just take three minutes of your time.” Volunteers then had three quick minutes to welcome fair attenders to the Baptist tent and then to share their testimony of how they became believers in Jesus. JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Baptist Convention’s (MBC) Executive Board approved a 2020 MBC budget of $7,068,280 during their latest meeting here, Aug. 20.
