MBC asks Circuit Court of Cole County to restore Baptist Home, MBU
The Missouri Baptist Convention has asked the Circuit Court of Cole County to restore The Baptist Home and Missouri Baptist University (MBU) to the MBC family. The Baptist Home, a three-campus senior adult residential ministry, broke away from the convention in September 2000, declaring its board of trustees to be independent and self-perpetuating. Missouri Lottie Moon offering goal set at $4M
JEFFERSON CITY – A chill is in the air, and that means carols, pageants and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) has set a goal of $4 million for 2015, working out to about $7.60 per Baptist Church member and a little over $2,100 per Baptist church in Missouri. MBTS recieves $1 million Mabee Foundation grant
KANSAS CITY – The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Okla., has issued a $1 million challenge grant to Midwestern Seminary toward the construction of the Mathena Student Center. The total cost of the project is estimated at $12 million. ‘Penny war’ benefits MBCH
PRESTON – It may have been a battle of the sexes, but it’s Missouri Baptist Children’s Home (MBCH) teens that came out the victor. In two months Olive Point Baptist Church’s SLAM (Students Living A Mission) ministry raised $400 and collected 11 duffle bags in a Penny War that pitted girls versus boys.
