BOLIVAR (SBU) – Ninety-eight undergraduate students graduated from Southwest Baptist University during commencement Friday, Dec. 16, at the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus. Board approves CP allocations
JEFFERSON CITY – The Executive Board of the Missouri Baptist Convention has approved Cooperative Program allocations for a three-year period, based on the recommendation of a CP Allocations Task Force appointed earlier this year by former MBC President Neil Franks. Beginning in 2018, the MBC allocates a simple 40 percent to the Southern Baptist Convention and 60 percent to the MBC and its ministries. ST. LOUIS – Friendship is the focus of the new “Good Neighbor Initiative” established by the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association. Missouri Baptists offer medical care in Southeast Mo.
JACKSON — Free rural medical care clinics will be available for Southeast Missouri residents thanks to the joint efforts of several Baptist associations in the area. A mobile medical clinic RV unit has been donated and a plan to staff it for rural health clinics has been organized. Fire ruins Hannibal church days before Christmas
HANNIBAL – A fire that destroyed the Antioch Baptist church in rural Hannibal five days before Christmas didn’t keep the congregation from celebrating the birth of Jesus. JEFFERSON CITY – With a nearly unanimous vote, the Missouri Baptist Convention’s (MBC) Executive Board voted during their Dec. 12-13 meeting here to recommend that the convention temporarily halt its march toward a “50-50” Cooperative Program allocation.
