Church revitalization internship program expands for 2021
JEFFERSON CITY – Last summer a Missouri Baptist internship program offered hands-on training in church revitalization for two seminary pastoral candidates. This summer, program director Brandon Moore hopes to expand the program to involve up to 12 interns and serve additional churches. Disaster survivor gives back to DR for helping
LEVASY – When Missouri River floodwaters entered Judy Oetting’s home in June 2019 she wasn’t sure what she would do. When the waters receded she and others started cleaning up the mess. Her basement was flooded as well as the first floor of her home. Mold was growing behind the walls. Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (DR) volunteers came to her aid. MMO giving exceeds 2020 goal despite COVID-19
JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Baptists refused to let COVID-19 slow their passion for missions. Despite the challenges of sheltering in place, “virtual” worship services, social distancing, and the temporary banishment of the offering plate, Missouri Baptists exceeded the goal for the Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering (MMO), contributing $736,628 in 2020.
