PHOENIX, Ariz. – Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (MODR) volunteers Ron and Jo Ann Hahs of Daisy, Mo., were awarded the Distinguished Service Award at the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Roundtable meetings in Phoenix, Ariz., in January. Collegiate students invited to apply for DR internships
JEFFERSON CITY – A paid internship is available for about a dozen college and university students through the Missouri Baptist Convention Disaster Relief ministry (MODR). The student interns will be trained in various areas of Disaster Relief ministry and may travel to various parts of the U.S. to serve people impacted by disasters. New Baptist Home at Smithville starts renovations with help from Missouri DR
SMITHVILLE – Baptist Homes and Healthcare Ministries have purchased a nursing care facility in Smithville formerly known as Smithville Living Center. They plan to remodel it, and it will reopen as a facility which will also offer specialized services for aging veterans. St. Joseph Association strives for missional outreach
ST. JOSEPH – The St. Joseph Baptist Association may be 150 years old, but they are remaking themselves constantly in order to reach more people for Christ in northwest Missouri and beyond. Canaan Baptist Church sees Christmas as good time to be missional, evangelistic
ST. LOUIS – Thirty families in the South County area of St. Louis received free Christmas gifts for their children through a recent outreach project of Canaan Baptist Church.
